Alpengasthof Almrose im Heutal offers a very quiet and idyllic location in Unken at 1,000 metres above sea level, amidst a nature reserve in the Salzburg Saalachtal Valley.

For younger guests Alpengasthof Almrose im Heutal offers a 1,000 m² playground. There are also many board games and an internet corner. The hotel has a smoking and a non-smoking lounge.

Enjoy a wide variety of regional and international dishes at the restaurant. A wonderful sun terrace offering views of the surrounding mountains is available in fair weather. The weekly barbecue evenings and musical events are also held there.

The 100-metre Staubfall waterfall, which forms the border between Austria and Germany, is a 30-minute walk away. You can even walk behind the water.

Guided mountain bike and hiking tours as well as archery are offered by Alpengasthof Almrose im Heutal. Introductory classes and an outdoor archery course are available and in winter, snow shoe hiking, tobogganing, cross-country skiing, skiing and ski touring is possible.

Many hiking trails are located in the vicinity in the Heutal hiking and biking paradise. Popular destinations for excursions in the surrounding area include Lake Königssee, Berchtesgaden and Bad Reichenhall.
